Varani was king of Hart during the Reign of the Gods and oldest of Aeloma’s children. It is believed that his throne was part of the mountains that is now the gateway between Brill and Frensa. He sat upon the throne and watched over the lands, providing fertile lands for his kingdoms to farm. When the wars between countries and continents started he rose the mountains around his throne to protect his followers.
Some say that the phrase “mountain of a man” came from equating people to Varani. He was known to be stoic yet kind. Though he was a giant he was very careful about the small beings around him, and protected them when he could. He loved his kingdom and was sad to leave it. Some think he still watches over the land.
During the Anfrensa wars his followers to the south found that, against all odds, they were able to hold off large forces. Some people even claimed that a sword was unable to cut them, even shattering against their chest as they were struck. The persons involved remembered little and what they do remember was without color and faded.
